We've really been enjoying our podcast miniseries analyzing The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins. We finished our first 3 episodes on "Part I: The Mentor" (which you can listen to right here), and are excited to talk about "Part II: The Prize" below.
Each of our episodes is set up like a book club discussion of sorts, because we analyze 3-4 chapters of TBOSAS by exploring first impressions, what connects to the real world, what parallels the original trilogy, and what we are left pondering as we read on.
Our first discussion on Part II looks at Chapters 11-13. In this episode, we analyze Lucy Gray's interview ballad (and Coriolanus' reaction to it), Capitol perspectives on warfare, if Tigris is technically the first Stylist, what's going on with Dean Highbottom, and much more. Give it a listen here:
Songbirds & Snakes - Chapters 11-13 38:25
You can also listen to our last two episodes covering Part II: The Prize here:
Songbirds & Snakes - Chapters 14-17 40:21
Songbirds & Snakes - Chapters 18-20 41:36

Well, that's going to wrap up this week. But, before you go, we'd love to know who your favorite character is in TBOSAS. And which tributes do you find most compelling? Let us know here or on our social media!
...and until next week - GEEK OUT!
