In this week's Avatar and Korra episode, we dive into the theme of leadership. We have a fun discussion on the often over-looked leader Katara and analyze the plethora of leadership issues the Earth Kingdom has in both series.
We also look at the trope of non-powered characters leading with their strategy or tech skills and think about missed opportunities in the Northern Water Tribe. Oh, and we make up a new fossil fuel company name while we're at it.
We start the episode off with a Zuko quote that he doesn't quite live up to:

Since the whole exchange between Zuko and Uncle Iroh early in Book 1 is so classic, I had to include it here:
Zuko: The only reason you should be interrupting me is if you have news about the Avatar.
Iroh: Well, there is news, Prince Zuko, but you might not like it. Don’t get too upset.
Zuko: Uncle, you taught me that keeping a level head is a sign of a great leader. Now whatever you have to say, I’m sure I can take it.
Iroh: Ok then: We have no idea where he is.
Zuko: WHAT?!
Where else do you see leadership in The Last Airbender or Legend of Korra?
...and until next week - GEEK OUT!
